Aytac Eryilmaz,
born in 1952 in Zonguldak in Turkey, w. Works as printer and publisher
in a leftist political press in Ankara and Istanbul. He lLived through
the military coups of 1971 and 1980 and served several months in prison
each time. Eryilmaz Hhad to leave Turkey for political reasons after his
press was forbidden to publish and came to Germany in 1985. He wWorked
in an honorary capacity for Türkei-Data, a forum for Turkish intellectuals
in Germany and for DOMiT- Documentation Center, where he has been a member
of the executive board since 1990. Eryilmaz is Co-initiator of the Migration
Museum in Germany (, 2003) and. Project director of the exhibition: "Fremde
Heimat. Eine Geschichte der Einwanderung aus der Türkei" in
1998 at the Ruhrland Museum in Essen; "40 Jahre Fremde Heimat. Einwanderung
aus der Türkei nach Köln" at the Historical City Hall in
Cologne, 2001. He is a member of the curatorial team of the Project Migration.
Meral Yetimoglu, married name Renz, was born in 1962 in Zonguldak
in Turkey. She was already active in the student movement in Turkey, came
to Germany to begin her studies for political reasons and was politically
involved in the MSB Spartakus and the DKP. She is a certified social worker
with further education in Gestalt therapy and sexual therapy and has worked
since 1982 in the Lore-Agnes-Haus, Center for Sexual Consultation of Workers'
Welfare, Essen. Co-author of the language textbook: "Türkisch
am Krankenbett".
